About the Discussion Groups

An independent facilitator will lead in-person discussion groups in Hamilton, London, Toronto, Sudbury, Ottawa, Thunder Bay and Windsor. One facilitated discussion group will also be held by webcast.

The discussion groups are scheduled to run from April through June.

Each of the discussion groups will focus on one of the following four topics:

Topic 1: The Need For Change
Topic 2: Market Dynamics and the Lawyer Profession
Topic 3: Licensing Examinations: Assessment of Entry-level Competence
Topic 4: Transitional Training

Reference materials will be posted in advance of the discussion groups and participants are encouraged to review these materials before participating in a discussion group, or submitting written input.

Attendance at discussion groups is open to everyone and there is no limit to the number of discussion groups that you attend. Given that venues are limited by space, priority will be given to those who have registered and then to others on a first-come, first-served basis.

Light refreshments will be provided at the discussion groups.

The timing and format of the discussion groups may change based on the number of registrants. Stay informed by subscribing to the Dialogue on Licensing mailing list.
